How to use the Original ALPK2 Manual Blood Pressure Machine?

Step-1: Preparation:- Sit still for 3 to 5 minutes before taking a reading.

Step-2: Cuff placement:- Wrap the cuff around the upper arm, 1 inch above the crease of the elbow. Tighten so that only the tips of two fingers can fit under it.

Step-3: Stethoscope placement:- Place the stethoscope disc over the artery, just below the inner edge of the cuff. Insert the earpieces toward the nose.

Step-4: Inflation:- Hold the gauge in front of your eye and quickly press the inflation bulb until the needle reaches 30 mmHg above the expected systolic pressure.

Step-5: Deflation and reading:- Slowly deflate the air at a rate of 2 mmHg per second by turning the valve knob counterclockwise:

Systolic pressure: Record the reading when the first heart sound is heard.

Diastolic pressure: Record the reading when the sound of the pulse disappears.
