Hand Washing and Preparation: This is essential to prevent infection and to obtain accurate results. First, wash your hands thoroughly with soap and warm water and dry them with a clean towel or tissue.
Preparing the Lancet Device: Twist off the cap of the lancet device. Insert a new sterile lancet device and twist off the top round cover. Then, replace the device cap and select the piercing depth according to your skin type.
Inserting the strip into the meter strip slot: Remove a VivaChek Inno test strip from the vial and immediately close the vial cap tightly. Insert the silver connecting rod part of the strip into the port at the bottom of the meter. The meter will automatically turn on and display a blood drop symbol on the screen.
Collecting a blood sample: Place the lancet device on your finger and press the priming button. Gently squeeze your finger to draw a drop of blood. Touch the drop of blood to the tip of the test strip. The strip will automatically draw the required amount of blood.
